Luk Pra Kob or Thai warm herbal compress massage is a traditional therapeutic treatment that combines the healing properties of herbs with the soothing techniques of massage. This unique healing technique combines aromatic and medicinal herbs into a muslin pouch which is then steamed and pressed into the muscles and joints of the recipient.
This healing practice dates back over 3,000 years and draws from the rich traditions of Thai, Ayurvedic, and Chinese medicine. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn about the healing properties of several herbs, how to make and prepare herbal compresses and how to apply them to the body.
