August 22nd 7:00 - 9:00 pm
with Sarah Seely
“Trauma” is very "up" for many people these days and no wonder - with 24-hour access to news cycles, we are more easily able to witness violence, oppression, and economic disparities all over the world, which can be extremely triggering. Chances are, some of your clients are trauma survivors.
Trauma survivors may not be fully aware of how their experiences have impacted their lives - but trauma does change how they regulate their thoughts and feelings, as well as their ability to care for themselves emotionally and psychologically. Understanding trauma and its impacts on the emotional and mental wellbeing of your clients is now more important than ever.
Join other healers, bodyworkers, and caregivers for this important workshop and conversation.
We will discuss :
What is trauma and how to address it in the healing space.
The symptoms and effects of traumatic experiences.
The six key principles for offering trauma-informed care.

How to handle catharsis and intense emotional responses to healing work.
You will learn :
Regulation techniques you can offer your clients for soothing overstimulated nervous systems.
Easy adjustments you can make to your practice.
Hands on healing techniques.
Self-care strategies for yourself when working with trauma survivors.
